John McKee, ABMB’s director of Mississippi Operations, has extensive experience in transportation design and managing transportation-related projects, including highways, urban streets, and rural roadways. John has been instrumental in designing and supervising work for airport facilities, including runway rehabilitation and design.
Under John’s leadership, ABMB was selected as project manager for the Metro Parkway project in Jackson, Mississippi, where it was responsible for all aspects of transportation engineering. Other projects completed under John’s direction include the Clinton Parkway, which runs through the Clinton Historical District; the widening of the Halls Ferry Road in Vicksburg; and, the reconstruction of Congress Street in Jackson. ABMB won an Engineering Excellence Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies-Mississippi for its work on the Clinton Parkway.
Prior to joining ABMB, John worked for 11 years with the Department of Public Works in Jackson, Mississippi. When he left this post, he was division manager of streets, bridges, and drainage, responsible for more than 200 employees and an annual budget of more than $6.7 million.
In addition, John works hard to strengthen his local community. He is the county engineer for Warren County, Mississippi, and a former member of the Clinton School Board. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for his church.
