The Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration chose ABMB to assist them in an endeavor to create approximately 500 acres of sustainable marsh in a rapidly eroding and subsiding section of the Barataria Landbridge located in Plaquemine and Jefferson Parishes.  The project involved transporting sediment from the Mississippi River by pumping the spoil material through a pipeline that required jacking and boring under both a railroad and highway, then placing the material in the necessary locations specified by the OCPR.

ABMB provided construction administration and inspection for the OCPR including daily inspection reports, addressing Requests for Information, weekly reports, and meeting minutes. Our duties also included verification of contractor quantities, reviewing change orders and contractor invoices, and finally, submitted a Project Completion Report.  The duration of the project was approximately 400 days.
