The expansion of US 165 through the city of Columbia, Louisiana

LADOTD planned the expansion of US 165 through the city of Columbia, Louisiana, and selected ABMB to provide full service management to move the project forward―from the geometric design to the Right of Way assistance. The firm handled acquisition of 200 parcels of land along a five-mile stretch of existing roadway. This process required quick, efficient relocation of approximately 100 residences and businesses. In addition to the acquisition services, our team performed right of way mapping of the area, as well as the relocation of existing utilities, which included gas, water and electrical lines.  ABMB exceeded expectations with our added effort in property management, which included rentals and disposition of improvements of the acquired property. Finally, the firm assisted the client with property appraisals in addition to review of appraisals done by other contractors in the project scope.
