Nurturing the new Woman's Hospital campus development in South Louisiana

To improve upon health services available to women in the Baton Rouge area, ABMB was one of the firms involved in the development of the new Woman’s Hospital campus on Airline Highway in south Baton Rouge, approximately 5.6 miles from the existing campus.  With limited space available at the original location, the hospital sought to enhance their services by providing a new facility with ample space to continue its growth and better serve its patients and the community. 

The new site which was originally home to the Briarwood golf course now accommodates a multi-story hospital building, an ambulatory and diagnostic building, a multi-story support services building, a service-convenient parking area for employees, physicians, patients and visitors, two to three medical office buildings, and other buildings such as a conference center and a hotel providing low-cost accommodations for patient’s families. To increase the aesthetics on the site, all improvements were developed in a park-like setting creating an enjoyable outdoor atmosphere to visitors and patients. This new site which has been open for many years is a terrific improvement upon the original site and ABMB is proud to have been involved with making the plan possible.
